I didn't see which bird this was as i was recording a video and kept the clip for this audio. I have cut the volume of a passing car. The bird singing maybe a blackbird, possibly blue tit, robin comes to mind or a starling which do imitate other birds.

A summer morning field recording at newport lakes reserve, a former bluestone quarry and rubbish tip in the western melbourne suburb of newport. The area is now a vast suburban park with a native nursery and twin human-made lakes, popular with many species of birds and people. This recording was made using a sony pcm-m10 recorder's built-in omnidirectional stereo microphones. It was taken on january 15 2011 at 8. 30am, on unceded boon wurrung land, part of the eastern kulin nations. This sample is part of the icefield-library. I used a pair of soundman okm2 mics as contact microphones which i fixed to the surface of a frozen lake, then recorded the sounds made by throwing or skimming several stones and pebbles across the ice. Wonderful effects can also be achieved by filtering or timestretching the files.
Dry ice dumped in a small fountain and recorded with an r-09hr. The bubbles sound very frantic and are continuous. I couldn't get too close, or else the splashing would have entered the mic capsules. It is a very clear sound nonetheless.

This is a snippet of perth's majestic bird life. The birds that feature in this recording are black cockatoos, and it was taken at the kensington bushland reserve at dusk. These birds are tribal, have incredible energy, and are extremely communicative, and hearing them squawk is one of my favourite parts of living here.

A wonderful typical mid-summer soundscape of cicadas, and some katydids recorded on the edge of a small town in illinois. Towards the end of the recording you will hear a very cool doppler-effect as the truck passes from right to left. Recorded about 8:00 at night with my zoom h4-n recorder using it's internal microphones. I had the volume level set fairly high -- 80 -- so you will probably also hear the constant hum of the various central air conditioning units. .
